Goran is a professor of mathematics and theoretical computer science. He studied at the University of Zagreb (B.S. 1995) and Carnegie Mellon University (M.S. 1998, Ph.D. 2000). He currently works at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, CA.
Origami started as a hobby, and by 2005 he was creating his own original designs. Most of his pieces are abstract shapes, naturally formed by the tension
of the paper when multiple layers of paper are arranged according to regular
or irregular patterns. In addition to paper, Goran also works with copper sheets.
